A wanted man who evaded authorities during a police pursuit through Lyon and Caldwell County in late September was arrested Saturday following another pursuit through those same counties.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said they were notified as Caldwell County Sheriff’s deputies pursued the vehicle into Lyon County. Deputies set up tire deflation devices on US 641. The vehicle struck the device and continued onto Depot Road north of Eddyville. The vehicle became stuck at the end of the dead-end road where deputies detained the male driver and a female passenger. The driver, 28-year-old Jason A. McGregor of Princeton, was a wanted fugitive and was the same person who led deputies on a pursuit from Lyon County into Caldwell County on September 28th. That pursuit was called off at the time due to safety concerns once he crossed into Hopkins County.McGregor was charged with multiple arrest warrants by Caldwell County law enforcement, and by a Lyon County Deputy with charges including fleeing/evading police, wanton endangerment, criminal mischief and operating on a suspended/revoked license. McGregor’s passenger, identified as 23-year-old Kaitlyn B. Prowell of Salem, was also arrested by after allegedly assisting the driver by utilizing a police scanner on her phone in order to evade law enforcement during the pursuit. Prowell’s charges included fleeing/evading police by complicity and wanton endangerment by complicity.
