Police Locate Kidnapping Victim in Williamson County

 

A kidnapping victim is safe tonight, after being located in Marion. On September 2, around 10 p.m. the Marion Police Department received a call from the Nashville Metropolitan Police Dept. of a kidnapping. Nashville investigators relayed they believed the victim and possible suspect(s) were in Marion, Illinois. Marion officers and dispatch were able to obtain the victims cell phone number and conduct a “ping,” which showed the victim was in the area of the 100 block of N. Russell Street. Officers conducted an initial canvas, but were unable to locate the victim or suspect(s).An MPD Sergeant began talking to the victim through text and was able to successfully determine her location. The kidnapping victim and suspect were located in the 100 block of N. Russell Street as suspected. The suspect, later identified as Wuilmer F. Bautista, was taken into custody and lodged in the Williamson County Jail on pending.
