A Tuesday drug investigation led to the arrest of an Illinois man on several charges. McCracken County detectives were conducting surveillance on a home when they saw a vehicle leave with a license plate that they say did not match the vehicle. Authorities stopped the vehicle near the intersection of Old US Highway 60 and Steel Road. Detectives say the driver, 45-year-old Bradley Hicks of Golconda, had methamphetamine in plain view. A search of the vehicle reportedly uncovered an additional 155 grams of meth and counterfeit money. Authorities say the seized meth has an estimated street value of more than $15,000. Hicks was arrested on charges of trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and numerous traffic offenses. .He was taken to the McCracken County Jail.
