A man from Muhlenberg County was convicted Friday on a federal sex crime charge. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Kentucky says a jury convicted 29-year-old Dustin R. Stone of Greenville of attempted enticement of a minor for sex by a registered sex offender. He’ll be sentenced on December 9, and will receive a mandatory minimum sentence of twenty years in prison without parole. tone was arrested November 21, 2018 after he came to Paducah believing he was going to meet a 13-year-old girl to have sex, but he had been communicating through phone calls and text messages with undercover Paducah Police Detectives. He was already on the sex offender registry due to a 2014 conviction on similar charges in Muhlenberg County.
