A multi-agency drug investigation Thursday afternoon led to the arrest of a Mayfield couple. The investigation began when a Federal Postal Inspector and McCracken County deputies reportedly learned that large amounts of marijuana were scheduled to be delivered to an apartment on Rock Creek Circle Thursday afternoon. While conducting surveillance in the area, detectives reportedly saw 30-year-old Demarco J. Davis and 34-year-old Talia England stop at the apartment and pick up the package. Deputies stopped their vehicle a short time later, and K-9 Bobi was brought to the scene, reportedly leading to the discovery of 11 pounds of marijuana. A search of the apartment allegedly uncovered additional evidence. Davis was charged with trafficking in marijuana over five pounds, and England was charged with complicity to trafficking in marijuana over five pounds. They were both taken to the McCracken County Jail.
