City of Paducah Officially Hires New City Manager

At their meeting Tuesday, Paducah city commissioners officially approved an employment agreement with Daron Jordan to be the next city manager. He had been serving as the city manager in Paris, Kentucky since 2017. He will officially start his tenure with the city of Paducah on August 1, 2021. In addition to Jordan’s approval the commission also approved a professional consulting services agreement with Arndt Municipal Support to assist with the city management transition. Arndt Municipal Support is owned by outgoing city manager Jim Arndt, who announced plans in January to move home to Illinois to be closer to family.
