Codefi Offering Scholarships for Software Coding

Codefi, an entrepreneurial organization in Cape Girardeau with a focal point of preparing individuals nd businesses for the digital economy, is currently taking applications for their Code Labs, an adult training program available in several communities in both Southeast Missouri and West Kentucky. The program, which is being supported by a grant of almost $1.7 million awarded last year the U.S. Department of Labor and the Delta Regional Authority, is intended  to assist people gain skills they need to enter into occupations within the software industry. Over the next three years, Codefi’s Code Labs training program will stretch d from Cape Girardeau to many her communities, including Perryville, Sikeston, Poplar Bluff and West Plains in Missouri and Paducah, Hopkinsville, Madisonville and Murray in Kentucky. The Code Labs program provides local technical education and on-the-job training led by experienced software developers. It is not a requirement to have prior experience to be awarded a scholarship and they are available available to those that are admitted to this program.
