McCracken Kentucky Man Pleads Guilty to Several Charges of Animal Cruelty

A McCracken County man will serve jail time for 25 counts of animal cruelty. Court records state that 62-year-old David Howery appeared in court on Tuesday. He plead guilty to 25 counts of second-degree cruelty to animals.  The judge sentenced him to 1 year in jail, with credit for 34 days already served. Howery was arrested on April 28 after McCracken County deputies received a tip alleging that he was hoarding and neglecting numerous animals. While serving him with an Adair County warrant from a previous animal cruelty conviction, detectives found approximately 100 animals on his property that were living in poor conditions.
