A Paducah woman was arrested Tuesday night after police said they found thousands of dollars worth of methamphetamine in her vehicle. The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office said deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction on US Highway 60 West near the intersection of Steele Road. Deputies said the driver, 38-year-old Elizabeth Leach of Paducah, was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant out of Massac County, IL. During the stop, K-9 Bobi indicated to the presence of illegal drugs coming from inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, deputies said they found approximately 50 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a smoking pipe and a digital scale. Police say the seized methamphetamine has an estimated street value of $5,000. Leach was arrested and lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail on charges of trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to or improper signal. She was also arrested on the Massac County warrant.
