Many state routes will be reduced to a single lane with a 10-foot width restriction as contractor crews improve sidewalks in Charleston, Missouri. The project is part of the Missouri Department of Transportation’s initiative to bring roadway facilities into compliance with the current standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), MoDOT said Tuesday. Contractor crews will improve sidewalks in the following locations:
Route 62 in Mississippi County from Route N to Route UU.
Route 105 in Mississippi County from Interstate 57 to Route 62.
Route N in Mississippi County from Route 62 to County Road 220 and others.
Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, May 3 through Friday, July 2 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
The work zones will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
