Southeast Missouri State University Plans to Go Back to In-Person Learning This Fall

Registration for fall classes begins on April 5, 2021 at Southeast Missouri State University and university officials say classes will be the way they were before the pandemic. University faculty members who have regular classroom instruction won’t be required to provide remote instruction options for students who are unable to attend regular classes, but if they want to make these accommodations they can do so. Officials say the decision to go back to regular classroom instruction is contingent upon the Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center and state of Missouri guidelines. University officials say university will continue, for now, to follow the guidelines of their Protect the Nest plan. Face mask and social distancing rules are still in effect, but there are some exceptions such as masks not being required when students are outside, alone, or when able to maintain social distance from others.
