Gas Prices Increase across Missouri

A survey that was conducted by GasBuddy found that the average price of gas in the entire state was $2.67 a gallon last week. The average price of a gallon of gasoline last week was higher by about a single cent from what it had been two weeks ago. The average price of gas two weeks ago was twenty-seven cents higher than what it was a month prior and around eighty-three cents higher than the price for a gallon of petrol at the same point a year ago.  Around this same point in 2020, the average price of a gallon of gas in the state was around $1.84. But this was when the pandemic was just starting to take effect when many people stayed home and they were not out driving and this played a role in cutting back   both the demand and price of gasoline. The state’s lowest price of gas in the month of March was in 2016 when a gallon averaged $1.80.
