CHICAGO (AP) — Fans will get to see the Chicago Fire play in person this season. On Wednesday, the team and Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced that when the team plays its home opener on April 17 at Soldier Field, about 7,000 fans will be admitted. The announcement comes a couple of weeks after the Chicago Cubs and the White Sox said a limited number of fans will be allowed to attend home games this season. As with those teams, the Fire will require fans to wear face masks. Individual groups of fans will be seated in separate pods to keep them a safe distance apart from other groups.
