Stoddard County Hire’s New EMA Director, Flood Plain Manager

Officials with the Stoddard County Commission confirmed the hiring of Andrew Bohnert, as the county’s new emergency management agency director and floodplain manager. The position   had been two separate positions but they were combined into one due to his qualifications. He had been the acting EMA director for Perry County, filling in for Tom Grayson, when he was called to active duty in the Marine Corp. Bohnert was hired on Mach 5, 2021. The county has not had n EMA director since the beginning of the year following the resignation of Frank Killian. Smith and Company, of Poplar Bluff, was the county’s floodplain manager and Pulliam was the point man for Smith and Company, but at the beginning of this year he left the company.
