Southeast Missouri State Graduate Named New Superintendant of Oak Ridge Schools

District officials have confirmed that Bethany Deal will take over for Adrian Eftink on July 1 as superintendent of the Oak Ridge R-VI schools. Eftink, has served in administrative roles for almost two decades at Oak Ridge R-VII schools and he is leavening to be the superintendent at Woodland Schools in Marble Hill, Missouri. Deal, who has master’s degrees from both Missouri Baptist University and Southeast Missouri State University comes to Oak Ridge, following a tenure as the superintendent of the Richwoods R-VIII district that began in 2015. She has also worked as an educator and administrator in Kingston, Potosi, Caledonia and Dexter, Missouri. She won the 2018 award for new superintendent of the year in the South-Central region from the Missouri Association of School Administrators. Deal is currently working on her doctorate in educational leadership from William Woods University.
