Officials at Rend Lake College recently announced that regular face to face instruction will resume at the college starting with the summer semester. Officials say this is an important step forward as they see some light at the end of the tunnel and their students have been good about helping them keep their coronavirus numbers down and it is time to start offering face-to-face class sections for students who prefer them rather than online or hybrid options. Some of the options that will be offered during the summer and fall semesters include normal In-person instruction and online learning conducted via Canvas. All students who chose the online learning option will complete all their required coursework on their own with communication and direction of RLC faculty. Another option is HyFlex, which will be a combination of regular, online and remote instruction and it is not mandatory for students to attend traditional or remote class meetings. They will have the option to choose how to receive instruction and may choose different modes during the semester. Hybrid and Blended Flex formats are also available and not all classes will have all these formats available.
