Members of the Southeast Missouri State Board of Regents recently determined room and board rates for the approaching fall semester. They approved an average combined room and board rate increase of 2.31 percent. The university’s on campus housing plan for the upcoming fall semester was made to meet the necessities of both present and future students at the university. Southeast Missouri State University currently offers private rooms in every residence hall on campus depending on how much space is available. As the current demand has grown a part of the rooms in Towers South and Towers East were changed into single rooms. This fall, the single room option will also be available to students who reside in the Greek/Group Housing community. This along with the room size presents on opportunity to provide students who reside in the Greek Group Housing additional privacy and space. The increase in board rate will be utilized to offset operational expenses associated with the University’s current dining contract with Chartwells Educational Dining Services and costs incurred by the University to maintain dining facilities and equipment.
