Former Southeast Missouri State University Employee Sues University

A Scott County woman who is a former employee of Southeast Missouri State University is sewing them for alleged employment discrimination. Mary Ann Farmer filed the suit in the 32nd Judicial Circuit Court and shedeclares  the university decreased the number of hours she worked which caused her to lose her position benefits, following a complaint about health conditions in Dearmont Hall. The suit filed against the university declares that Farmer was replaced by a woman who was black, younger and less qualified. The suit that was filed is seeking damages for wages, employment benefits, emotional distress, among other things. The case is set to be reviewed on June 7, 2021.
