Bingo World in Cape Girardeau to Reopen With Modification
Bingo World in Cape Girardeau opened its doors back up to the public on Friday after being closed down due to COVID 19 concerns. The non-profit fundraising facility has made some interior changes, but it still provides members of the general public a chance to win large amounts of money. Officials say they are going to start Optimist Bingo again on Friday nights and this will be the first time since March 13, 2021. Officials say they are asking members of the general public to be wearing a mask when they enter the facility, but whenever they settle down at the table they can take their mask off, but they ask them anytime that they get up, that they put their mask on before they get back to move back around. Additional changes that have been made on the inside include, plastic partitions, clean air ventilation and the facility is now smokeless. Officials also say they are providing a safe environment at the facility the best they can. They also say if they would’ve tracked in their average monthly revenue prior to COVID they’d be looking at quarter of a million dollars worth of revenue which assist keep current tuition rates of schools to a minimum, among other things. Officials say it’s an amazing opportunity for nonprofits and for communities to come out and support nonprofits.
