Man From Tennessee Pleads Guilty to Murdering Marion Woman

The Martin, Tennessee man accused in the death of a missing Marion woman’s death last year pleaded not guilty to murder charges. Court Documents state that Ware Jr. pleaded not guilty to the murder of Laura Wolfe during a hearing at the LaPorte County, Indiana courthouse on January 12, 2021. In the same hearing he was appointed a public defender. A jury trial has been scheduled for December 20, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. Court records show Ware was given a mental evaluation and denied a bond reduction hearing on January 26. Ware has been in jail in that county on a $1-million bond. Last month the county sealed the probable cause affidavit to shield it from public view. Wolfe’s remains were found by a farmer in a corn field near the railroad tracks in Springfield Township, Indiana in October. Wolfe who lived in Marion, IL was originally reported missing in July of 2020.
