A Murray man faces numerous charges following a vehicle and foot pursuit Wednesday night. Deputies say on Wednesday at approximately 10:30 pm a deputy tried to stop a vehicle on Highway 121 South in New Concord for traffic violations. The driver, later identified as 31-year-old Stephen Pace of Murray, attempted to flee in the vehicle on various secondary roads. While on Eldridge Road, deputies said Pace’s vehicle left the road and crashed into a creek. Pace then tried to flee on foot, but he was apprehended a short time later. Pace was arrested and lodged in the Calloway County Jail. He’s charged with fleeing or evading, two counts of wanton endangerment and various traffic related violations. Pace was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to pay on a previous Calloway County District Court case. He was also charged with being a fugitive from justice in reference to an outstanding Tennessee warrant where the original charge was felony theft of property.
