Fatal Shooting Suspects Appear in Court

A Paducah pair charged in an August double-murder case appeared in court earlier this week. Officials say Mykweze Cox and Alexis Graham were in court Monday morning for a pretrial conference. Judge Tim Kaltenbach continued the hearing until March 15. Cox is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, first-degree burglary, first-degree robbery, tampering with physical evidence, and being a felon in possession of a handgun. Those charges stem from his alleged role in an Aug. 22 shooting at Lone Oak Manor apartments on College Avenue that killed 23-year-old Justice Hicks and 31-year-old Victor Moore. Graham faces two counts of complicity to first-degree murder, first-degree burglary, and first-degree robbery for her alleged role in the killings. Detectives said Cox admitted to shooting Hicks and Moore after he went to the apartment to collect a drug debt.
