Illinois Governor JB Pritzker announced that the state has created a new website to provide residents a way to obtain information easily in regards to the COVID 19 vaccine. This new website will provide residents who are eligible to receive the COVID 19 vaccine with nearby vaccination sites, information on how to schedule an appointment to get the vaccine updates on Illinois plan and eligibility. The website also answers to frequently asked questions. On Monday, Walgreens started providing vaccines at 92 sites across Illinois. Over the next few days, officials said more pharmacy partners will be opening registration for appointments and over 3.2 million state residents are eligible for Phase 1B. Those who are eligible to get a COCID 19 vaccination at one of the Illinois National Guard assisted sites, at a site operated by a local health department or at a partner pharmacy. Currently, the sites are available by appointment only, but as the federal supply of vaccines increases and the state receives more vaccine, the state will launch walk-in locations and expand sites to additional providers such as doctor’s offices and urgent care facilities. Additional information on those locations will be released at a later date.
