Jackson Resident Named New Executive Director of the Jackson Revitalization Organization

Officials with Uptown Jackson Revitalization Organization have named the organization’s new executive director. Jackson resident Janna Clifton was recently announced as the organization’s second executive director and she will officially take over on Tuesday. She is an alumnus of Southeast Missouri State University and she previously served as the store manager for The Buckle in West Park Mall, where she would go on to be named the area manager in charge of the Cape Girardeau and Paducah, Kentucky, stores. The Uptown Jackson Revitalization Organization is a not-for-profit organization which with the assistance of volunteer efforts provides many programs to the local community like maintenance of uptown landscaping and merchant workshops. In addition, the organization also puts together events, such as the February Annual, Springfest, and Jackson in Bloom, Oktoberfest and the Uptown Christmasfest. She will take the place of Steve Turner, who retired last year following about a year and a half in the position.
