Members of the Jackson County Illinois Board to Improve Ordinance to Enforce Coronavirus Fines at Restaurants

All restaurants within Jackson County will soon be required to pay a fine if any one violates COVID-19 mitigation measures. Members of the county’s board recently passed a resolution which will permit the Jackson County Health Department to inspect businesses and find out compliance with the state’s coronavirus restrictions. County Business owners will be required to pay a fine for every day they are incompliant with the guidelines to prevent further spread of the virus. The new ordinance will go into effect on New Year’s Day.
