A McCracken County man was arrested Saturday night on an indictment for trafficking in cocaine. Police say 28-year-old Jeffery Abel’s indictment stems from him allegedly selling cocaine to undercover detectives back in July. Abel, of Old Mayfield Road, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies and lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail. Earlier this month, detectives presented numerous cases to a McCracken County Grand Jury which led to several indictments. The cases presented stemmed from a large number of illicit drug investigations in Paducah and McCracken County. The sheriff’s office said several individuals are currently being sought by police regarding indictments for their involvement in trafficking methamphetamine and cocaine.
