Health Officials Announce New Income Guidelines for the Women Infants and Children Supplemental Nutrition Program

Officials with the Southern Seven Health Department recently announced that there are new income requirements or the Women Infants and Children Supplemental Nutrition Program (WIC). This program is for mothers who are currently nursing and postpartum babies and children up to five-years-old that need food assistance. Some of these new guidelines include, every single individual who is in need of food assistance must have an income of $1,968 every month or less and an annual income of $23,606 or less, and a family of four people must have a monthly income of $4,040 and an annual income of $48,470 among others.
