State officials in Illinois recently announced driver services facilities all around the state will be closed to members of the general public for all in-person transactions starting on Tuesday and they will remain closed until December 7, 2020. The decision was made to close all facilities because of the increasing cases of COVID 19. Officials also say that expiration dates for driver’s licenses and Identification cards will be pushed back to June 1, 2021. This means that all licenses and identification cards will still be valid until this date even if they are set to expire before then. Officials say many transactions to be made with the Secretary of State’ can be made on the web including, Renewing a valid driver’s license for qualifying drivers and Renewing a valid driver’s license for qualifying drivers, among others.
