Officials with the Cape Girardeau Public School District say regular in-person classes will not be in session over the week of Thanksgiving. Officials say the district will use Monday, November 23 and Tuesday, November 24 as deep cleaning days. Educators will be providing assignments to be completed at home on those two days. This decision was made after the high school only will move to all virtual learning starting on Monday and returning to normal classes on Monday, November 9, 2020. Officials say the high school is going to hold virtual classes due to an increase in students and staff being forced to quarantine.
