A McCracken County man charged with sexually abusing a child was in court Monday. Officials say Raymond Hanson appeared for a bond reduction hearing, where the motion was denied. His bond remains at $500,000. Hanson was arrested on August 21 by McCracken County Sheriff’s Detectives following an investigation that began in June. They identified him as the suspect in a case involving the sexual abuse of a child under the age of twelve. Detectives say Hanson admitted to having sexual interaction with the child. He faces charges of first-degree sodomy and first degree sexual abuse of a victim under 12, and possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense. Hanson remains in McCracken County Jail.
