Coronavirus Grants Available for Businesses in Carbondale

Officials with the Carbondale Business Development Corporation (CBDC) recently announced that CBDC will make a total of twenty-five $1,000 grants available to small business located in the city of Carbondale. The grant money is from the CBDC development fund. To be able to qualify for the grant, a business has to located in Carbondale, they have less than $3 million in yearly sales and sell most of their products or services in the local area. A business also has to be negatively affected by the coronavirus and they can’t be operated out of a home and they must also be a for-profit business.  In addition, businesses that apply for funding can’t be owned and operated by any CBDC board members or biological family members. Business owners can apply at www.cbcdgrant.org. All applications will be accepted until 5:00 pm on September 30, 2020. Businesses that qualify for grant funding will be put n a lottery with a random selection process for grant recipients. The funding is expected o be distributed out by October 10, 2020.
