Western Kentucky Clinic Receives $1 Million Grant to Construct New Facility

KentuckyCare in McCracken County was recently awarded a grant worth $1 million from the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Capital Assistance for Disaster Response and Recovery Efforts (CADRE) program. KentuckyCare is planning to utilize the federal funds to construct a new facility which will allow the clinic to provide primary care and behavioral health services. Officials say the funding will make a difference in Western Kentucky that has been hit hard by natural disasters and the much needed funding will be utilized to build up quality healthcare, create jobs and economic development to areas that were impacted over the years by natural disasters and build up the capacity of health care for the populations that are underserved and vulnerable.
