Southeast Missouri State University was recently recognized as one of the top 100 best regional universities in the region in the U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings for this year. Southeast Missouri State University is ranked as the 76th best regional university in the region. Last year the university was ranked as the 78th best regional university in the region. A university that is classified as a Regional University’ offers a wide array of degree programs for undergraduate students along with some master’s degree programs. Only one other public institution in the state was ranked ahead of Southeast on the list. In addition the rankings recognized Southeast Missouri State as the sixteenth best public institution among Midwestern regional universities. Southeast Missouri State is one of a total of three highest ranked Missouri public institutions on this list. For the past 27 years Southeast has been consistently ranked by U.S. News & World Report. University officials say these rankings reaffirm the University’s commitment to student success.
