Kentucky Transportation Receives Grant of Over $6.4 Million

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet was recently awarded over $6.4 million to assist public transit agencies in continuing operations during the coronavirus pandemic. The funds that were awarded are part of the CARES Act and the funding is from the Federal Transit Administration. Officials will divide the funding between sixteen different public transit agencies that serve 79 different counties throughout the state. This funding comes after a total of $22.9 million in May. The grant that was awarded to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is worth $6, 413, 1777.
