Longtime Southeast Missouri State Employee to Retire

Southeast Missouri State’s longtime communications director will retire on Friday. Ann Hayes began her career at Southeast Missouri State back in March of 1991 when she worked as the university’s news bureau director. Three years ago she was named Southeast Missouri State’s director of University Communications. She also joined the university’s Office of the President and served as a member of the University President’s Executive Staff. In addition, she served as a spokesperson for Southeast and she also was responsible for managing   the university’s crisis and emergency communications. She also served as the institution’s liaison with radio, television, print and online media in the region.
