Police are searching for two more men they believe have information regarding the investigation. Police say Derrick D. Stafford, 20, from Mounds, Ill., and Jaden T. Young, 20, from Cape Girardeau; have information regarding the murder of Anthony Miller on Monday, July 20. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call the Major Case Squad or the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Another man, 28-year-old Clarence J. Smith, of Cape Girardeau, is wanted on charges of second-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action, first-degree burglary and first degree attempted robbery. He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Brandon M. Pratt, 32, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on Friday morning, July 24. He was charged with second-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action, first-degree burglary and first-degree attempted robbery. The Cape Girardeau/Bollinger County Major Case Squad remains active, and is currently working to identify additional suspects. Earlier in the week, the Cape Girardeau/Bollinger County Major Case Squad asked for the community’s help identifying three suspects. They said images were captured by a surveillance system at the scene of the homicide. Police say 21-year-old Anthony Miller, of Cape Girardeau, was shot at 12:30 a.m. on July 20 in the 400 block of Sheridan. Miller was transported to an area hospital where he later died. His family has been notified. At approximately 4 a.m., crime scene tape was placed around an apartment at the complex and authorities could be seen investigating. The Cape Girardeau/Bollinger County Major Case Squad was activated and remains investigating.
