Southeast Missouri State University Releases Schedule for the Upcoming Academic Semester

Southeast Missouri State University recently revealed what the upcoming semester will look like for all members of the university due to the COVID 19 pandemic. During Monday’s Board of Regents meeting board members and other university officials had discussions about adjusting the calendar for all starting in August. This schedule was put in place to assist in reducing the spread of the coronavirus on every campus of Southeast Missouri State University. Officials say the decision to not have a fall and in-person classes prior to Thanksgiving break is to assist in limit anyone’s exposure to the virus over the holiday and the time after. Officials have not revealed their plans for graduation in the fall, but details should be released soon. The fall semester is scheduled to begin on August 24, 2020. Classes will also be in session on Labor Day, September seventh. The final day of fall 2020 on-campus classes will be on November 24, 2020. Fallclasses will resume in an online format starting on November 30, 2020. Online/remote final exams will be taken from December seventh through the eleventh. The fall semester will end on December eleventh rather than the eighteenth.
