The First Phase of Missouri’s Reopening Plan Extended Trough the Middle of June

Governor Mike Parson confirmed on Thursday May 28 that he is extending Phase 1 of Missouri’s Show Me Strong Recovery plan through June 15.The opening phase was originally set to expire on Sunday. Officials say the extension will allow communities more time to prepare for the next phase of the reopening plan. Under the first phase businesses can remain open and social activities are allowed as long as social distancing requirements are followed. Events, such as graduations, weddings, county fairs, summer schools and camps can still take place. The state’s plan for reopening is based on four pillars: testing, personal protective equipment, healthcare and prediction.
