The Southeast Missouri State University’s Board of Regents determined the cost of tuition and fees at the university for the upcoming fall semester on Thursday. The regents approved a $5.75 per credit hour increase on in-state undergraduate tuition. This is the equivalent to the 2.3% increase in CPI last academic year along with a $2 per credit hour raise in the maintenance and repair cost. This brings the total increase to $7.75 per credit hour. Southeast Missouri State’s per credit hour tuition rates for out of state resident undergraduate, graduate and online programs will also go up by the 2.3% change in the CPI. Both general expenses and the tuition rate for lower division classes at Southeast Missouri State’s regional campuses will go up by an increase of $3 per credit hour, bringing that rate to $181 per credit hour. This rate is currently logical with most community college rates.
