.U.S. Department of Transportation Awards Regional Airports Millions of Dollars in Aid

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration is set to award millions of dollars in aid to several airports across the region. In Missouri alone, a total of $152,485,486 in airport aid will be given to 75 airports across the state. Airports within the Southeast Missouri region that will receive funding include Cape Girardeau Regional Airport, Perryville Regional Airport, Sikeston Memorial Municipal Airport, Dexter Municipal Airport, and Poplar Bluff Municipal Airport. The Cape Girardeau Regional Airport will receive the highest total of funding of $17,493,045.
