The State of Missouri Will Get $66.5M from CARES Act for child care, early education needs

Government officials announced on Tuesday that the state of Missouri will receive $66.5 million in Child Care and Development Block Grant funding from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The funding is being provided to assist all families who currently work on the front lines during the pandemic and to keep child care providers from going out of business because of decreasing enrollment. The president signed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act into law on March 27, 2020. A total of $3.5 billion was set aside for Child Care and Development Block grants.
