The Center for Disease Control to Award State of Missouri with $3.9 Million towards Coronavirus Relief

Officials with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will provide an additional $3.9 million in funding to be put towards coronavirus efforts in Missouri. Missouri has already received almost $9.9 million in CDC funding from the phase 1 package. Missouri has now received a total of over $13 million through the CDC for coronavirus response efforts. CDC officials say the funding will be used to supplement: several state and local jurisdictions that have the greatest number of coronavirus cases.  The award will be used to support several activities such as lab equipment, supplies, staffing, shipping, infection control, surge staffing, monitoring of individuals, and data management.
