State Officials Extend Missouri Vehicle Emissions Deadline Until May

Missouri Department of Natural Resources officials have temporarily extended the time period that a vehicle emissions test will be due. The deadline was extended to assist vehicle owners who are currently faced with several challenges because of the coronavirus outbreak. In addition, state officials have also extended the license plate expiration period for an additional 60 days. The extension means that residents whose licenses plates expire now have until the end of May to renew their license plates. In addition, they also are applicable to receive a vehicle emission test without any penalties. This extension will remain in effect until further notice.
