Missouri Department of Transportation crews will put in a temporary traffic signal at the intersection of Route K and Highway 25 in Gordonville. Officials say this is because they expect traffic to increase from the diverging diamond interchange construction. Crews will install the signal tomorrow morning after the morning commute and motorists coming home from work will notice a difference. Officials say the installation of the signal will help with traffic congestion and give people driving between Jackson and Cape Girardeau an alternate route. Traffic Lane changes will start on Monday along Kingshighway at Interstate-55 where the diverging diamond construction continues. The project will take a year and a half to complete and it is expected to be finished by next fall.
