Officials with the Jackson R-2 School District have made the decision to cancel classes until April 3, 2020. The decision was made after school officials gathered information from health experts and various local leaders. School officials will use the remainder of the week for planning and professional development. School officials say they are currently developing a plan of action to help the families of students. Officials also say they will use all communication channels to keep families informed about how they can gain access to the devices in the days to come. Members of the district will also provide updated information through their website, emails, text alerts and social media platforms. Over the next couple of weeks all scheduled events, games and practices are cancelled.
