As of right now there haven’t been any reported cases of the coronivirus in Sikeston, but city services are being impacted. City officials say many municipal actions have been taken. As of Tuesday every indoor facility in Sikeston had been closed to the public and they will remain closed until at least April 3, 2020. The Sikeston Department of Public Safety will still be open in order to perform law enforcement activities. All city employees will be expected to report to work unless they are sick or placed on leave. City officials will only be able to be contacted through phone calls, emails, and fax or mail delivery. A drop box will be available for payments and applications and court payments will be made available vestibule at City Hall.
