Many Cape Girardeau Facilities to Close Because of Virus Outbreak

Members of the Cape Girardeau City Council have recently made changes to several city services due to the virus outbreak. These various city changes will last through April 3, 2020.  All of Cape Girardeau’s City Hall offices are currently closed to the public, but the Customer Service Office at City Hall is currently taking bill payments over the phone and through the online and auto-payment options. Both the Cape Girardeau Police and Fire Departments are closed to the public and all meetings and events are cancelled. Both departments will provide updates on Facebook. Cape Girardeau Municipal Court is also postponed through April 3, 2020, but the Court office will send out summonses with new court dates. The court office is open but is anticipated to be closed. In addition the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation facilities, leagues and programs are currently suspended. Citizens can reach the main office by calling 573-339-6340.
