Many states within the union have started a bipartisan investigation of JUUL Labs. Missouri state officials say that the state has joined thirty-nine other states in the investigation. Investigators are currently investigating JUUL’s sales and marketing practices. This includes targeting of the counry’s youth officials said vaping is skyrocketing throughout the country and cigarette use has gone down among youth nationwide. The National Youth Tobacco Survey revealed that over five million youth reported having used e-cigarettes within the past month, up from 3.6 million just one year prior. The study was done by both the FDA and CDC last year. CDC officials say one in four high school students said they use vaping products.
