Government Officials in Kentucky to Use Electronic Technology to Remove Asian Carp from Waters in Western Kentucky

An all time high of of$25 million will be put towards the fight against Asian Carp in Western Kentucky. State government officials say they secured the funding that will help with the removal of the fish that is not native to the area from bodies of water such as Barkley and Kentucky Lake. Government officials said earlier this year officials with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service were in favor of the deployment he advanced “Unified Method of Fishing. This method of fishing involves using electronic technology to gather Asian Carp prior to using special nets to remove them from the water. The USGS has successfully deployed it in both Missouri and Illinois.
