Southern Illinois Housing Authorities to Receive Over $11 million in Funding

Public housing authorities within the Southern Illinois region will receive a total of $11,398,973 in federal funds on behalf of the .U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Public Housing Capital Fund program. The funding will go towards development, financing and modernization of public housing. The local authorities that will soon be receiving funding include Jackson County Housing Authority: $2,038,230, Williamson County Housing Authority: $1,741,425, Alexander County Housing Authority: $1,184,351, Union County Housing Authority: $904,569, and one other authority.
